Bradford
Metropolitan District is the second largest city in the sub-region with
a total area of 36,642 hectare and is the fourth
largest District in England (in terms of population) after Birmingham, Leeds and
Sheffield with a poluation of 485,000. Two-thirds of the District is rural and there are more than 5,000 listed
buildings and 57 conservation areas. The State of the District report previously called Bradford in Figures and now called A Picture of the District is a paper based and now an online statistical information resource and summary of the state of Bradford District.
