In comparison with many of the other Communities of Interest within the Bradford District there is reasonably good statistics on Black and Minority ethnic communities.
The 2001 Census has many tables that cross tab ethnic background and place of birth with many of the other socio-economic indicators within the census. This means that it is possible to make reasonably good comparisons between the socio-economic status of BME groups and geographically based communities.
The 2001 Census statistics within the CoI pages highlight that many of the BME communities are experiencing social and economic deprivation when compared with the district average. Although there is a lot of variation within these communities.
