Families are assumed to require two 'common' rooms (not including a bathroom) and a bedroom for each couple, lone parent, any other person over 16 years, each pair aged 10-15 years of the same sex, each pair formed from a remaining person aged 10-15 years and a child aged under 10 of the same sex, each pair of children aged 10 years and under and each remaining person. This is the definition of overcrowding used by government.
(3) People who responded 'yes' to the question 'Do you have any long term illness, health problems or disability which limits your daily activities or the work you can do?'. A prompt asked people to include any problems due to old age.
