The GIS section
of the Research and Consultation Service has the responsibility for
not only providing
maps and mapping analysis to internal council departments but also to
the
public. A number of mapping applications have been developed
for use by members of the public. Links to them can be found on this
page.
The Maps & Stats site has been developed by Bradford Council
in conjunctions with Bradford
Resource Centre it consists of a
number of applications which allow members of the Public to draw
an area
on a map that they are interested
in and extract statistics about that area, currently Maps & Stats
consists of two applications:
- Maps&Stats:BCSP :
The Bradford Community Statistics Project has not only
1991 and 2001 Census data but also a range of other data intended
to support community groups and individuals to bid for funding
and lobby local and national government about issues that effect
them. Future development will involve adding more map layers
and reports to the Project. Site
